Competitive Race Regulations

Before participating in the Lazise Love Run, we invite you to carefully read the official race regulations. Inside, you’ll find all the essential information about the race.

REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION

VRM TEAM ASD (VR851), in collaboration with and under the patronage of the MUNICIPALITY of LAZISE and the associations of the Municipality of Lazise, with the approval of FIDAL, organizes the 2nd edition of the LAZISE LOVE RUN road race (category “A”) over a distance of 10.00 Km (measured) included in the National Fidal Bronze category Calendar. The event is open to male and female Fidal categories, youth-junior-promises-senior-master, holders of the Fidal Runcard – Runcard EPS, and athletes registered with Foreign Federations recognized by World Athletics. The race is valid for the Verona with the Race 2026 circuit (www.veronaconlacorsa.it).

SCHEDULE

The event will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026

Meeting point: from 07:00 at Dogana Veneta in Lazise (VR)

Start: 09:30 at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele Lazise (VR)

Awards ceremony: 11:30 AM Dogana Veneta Lazise (VR)

THE TIME LIMIT IS SET AT 1H45’.

After this time, the organization will no longer be able to guarantee assistance on the course and refreshments; anyone still on the race course must comply with traffic regulations.

COURSE CHARACTERISTICS

The men’s and women’s competition takes place over a distance of 10 Km certified class “A” FIDAL.

The course winds through the suburban roads, city streets, and the historic center of Lazise (VR)

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

According to the “Rules for the organization of non-stadium events” issued by FIDAL, athletes registered from 16 years old onwards (age milestone, thus from the junior category) who meet one of the following requirements can participate:

  • Athletes registered for 2026 with FIDAL-affiliated clubs, in compliance with registration and medical certification on the FIDAL online system.
  • Italian and foreign athletes holding a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and competition permit) and athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Body (Athletics Section), holding a Runcard-EPS, limited to those aged 20 and over with a valid medical certificate for competitive athletics, which must be submitted, even digitally, to the organizing clubs.
  • Italian and foreign athletes with a club card affiliated with foreign Athletics Federations recognized by WA valid for 2026. Upon registration, they must alternatively present: a self-certification of possession of the card recognized by WA. The self-certification must then, in any case, be signed in original at the time of bib collection.


The “2nd Lazise Love Run” will use avaibooksports.com and eventistica srl for the control of the Fidal database for membership verification.

N.B.:

  • The possible participation of blind athletes (regularly registered with Fispes) must be obligatorily reported to the organization;
  • The use of Nordic walking poles or other types is not allowed;
  • Animals of any kind are not allowed;
  • The use of bicycles and personal vehicles on the track following the athletes, participation without an official bib and chip of the event is strictly prohibited.


Registration Methods

Registrations are open until February 6, 2026, or until 1,200 entries are reached and can be made online through the avaibooksports.com website at the link https://www.avaibooksports.com/inscripcion/lazise-love-run-2026/

Registration is considered effective and confirmed when all the required information in the registration form is provided correctly and the payment is made, confirmed, and accepted by the organization.

Competitive Race Registration Fees

The registration costs:

  • 16 euros for the first 150 registrants
  • 18 euros from 151 to 300 registrants
  • 20 euros from 301 to 500 registrants
  • 24 euros from 501 to 700 registrants
  • 28 euros from 701 to 1200 registrants

The registration fee includes:

  • Bib number;
  • Goodie Bag with t-shirt;
  • Time tracking;
  • RCT insurance with race accident coverage;
  • Medical-health plan;
  • Possible return transport in case of injury;
  • Organizational and assistance services described in these regulations;
  • Refreshments during and after the competition;
  • Medal for all finishers.

Registration Fee Refund

No refunds of the registration fee are provided under any circumstances.

It is possible to transfer your already purchased bib number until January 30, 2026.

In this case, the incoming competitor must pay the administration fees and the difference between the fee paid by the transferor and the fee in effect at the time of the change request.

It is also possible to postpone the registration to 2027 by paying the administration fees by January 30, 2026.

The cost of the administration fees is 5 euros.

Bib Collection

The bib can be collected upon presentation of a photo ID at Dogana Veneta in Piazzetta Partenio,13 in Lazise:

  • Saturday, February 7 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, February 8 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM

FINISH ORDER

The finish order, as provided by rule 19.24, will be established using transponders. For each athlete, the official time from the gun to the finish line will be recorded. The possible “Real Time” detected by the system will not be homologated and will have no value for federal rankings.

TIMING AND RANKINGS

The company in charge of timing is EVENTISTICA srl, all participants will be equipped with a chip applied to their personal bib.

The processing of the rankings is handled by EVENTISTICA srl and will be visible on the website: https://my.raceresult.com

These are validated by the Technical Delegate/Judge of Appeal

AWARDS

The top 10 overall male and female finishers will be awarded, the top 3 finishers in the following master category groups will be awarded:

Men’s categories

  • M1 born between 1992 and 2008
  • M2 born between 1987 and 1991
  • M3 born between 1982 and 1986
  • M4 born between 1977 and 1981
  • M5 born between 1972 and 1976
  • M6 born between 1967 and 1971
  • M7 born between 1962 and 1966
  • M8 born in 1961 and earlier

Women’s categories

  • F1 born between 1990 and 2006
  • F2 born between 1980 and 1989
  • F3 born between 1970 and 1979
  • F4 born in 1969 and earlier

Additionally, the following will be awarded:

  • Category AM (16/17): the first place finisher;
  • Category JM (18/19): the first place finisher;
  • Category PM (20/22): the first place finisher;
  • Category AF (16/17): the first place finisher;
  • Category JF (18/19): the first place finisher;
  • Category PF (20/22): the first place finisher.

COMPLAINTS AND DISCIPLINARY RULES

Any complaints must be submitted in compliance with FIDAL and R.T.I. regulations, initially to the 1st Finish Judge. In the second instance, the complaint must be made in writing and submitted to the Judge of Appeal of the event within 30 minutes of the publication of the rankings accompanied by a complaint fee of €100.00. The complaint fee will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.

Participation with another athlete’s bib, transferring the bib to others, or any other serious offense detected by the Race Judges Group will result in exclusion from the ranking and disqualification from the event, in addition to possible other sanctions. For anything not provided for in these regulations, refer to specific FIDAL regulations and current laws.

SAFETY AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Safety and Medical Assistance will be ensured by the organization’s volunteers stationed along the course, by medical personnel (doctors, civil protection volunteers), etc. The medical personnel, civil protection, and communication vehicles will have their operational base (start/finish area). Additionally, rescue vehicles will move as needed along the course in areas accessible to the organization’s vehicles. The medical personnel and civil protection volunteers are organized to provide assistance to those in need, with their own means or through affiliated organizations. The rescue vehicles, control posts, are equipped with radios in permanent contact with the race’s logistics base, in the finish area in the square. Every athlete must immediately withdraw from the race if ordered by the medical delegate.

INSURANCE

The organization subscribes to civil liability insurance for the entire duration of the event. Participation in the event is, however, under the full responsibility of the competitors, who, by registering, waive any claims against the organizers in case of damages and further consequences that may arise from the race. By registering for the race, the competitor declares to know and accept the terms of the civil liability insurance stipulated by the organization with UNIPOLSAI Assicurazioni (the insurance conditions are available upon simple request) and declares to accept the limits specified by the insurance itself.

DECLARATION OF RESPONSIBILITY – Acceptance of the regulations

By registering, the competitor declares to know and fully accept the regulations of the “Lazise Love Run”, published on the website www.laziseloverun.it.

They also declare under their express responsibility to have undergone adequate training and to have undergone the medical checks required by the current regulations D.M. 18/02/82 and 28/02/83, thus exempting the organizers from any civil and criminal liability.

IMAGE RIGHTS

By registering for the event, the athlete expressly authorizes the organizers, together with partners and media partners, to acquire the right to use free of charge any still or moving images that may portray them during their participation in the “Lazise Love Run”, on all visual supports, as well as on promotional and/or advertising materials, worldwide and for the maximum time allowed by laws, regulations, and treaties in force, including any extensions that may be made to the period provided.

Organizers’ Responsibility

The organization, while availing itself of all guarantees related to the course, assumes no responsibility for any accidents or damages. Each athlete is asked to provide for themselves. No civil or criminal liability is accepted for unforeseeable events.

FINAL WARNINGS

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for better organization of the race, after having communicated and obtained approval from FIDAL. For anything not provided for in these regulations, the technical statutory regulations of FIDAL and G.G.G. apply. Any changes to services, locations, and times will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes or will be reported on the website www.laziseloverun.it. Additionally, the documentation containing essential information for participating in the race will be delivered by the organization together with the bib.
